  A classic, box quilted style coat, the Jack Wolfskin ICEGUARD is not only extremely warm but windproof, too, courtesy of the super-lightweight, high tearstrength STORMLOCK ACTIVE RIPSTOP shell fabric.
  
  Beneath the Icegaurd shell, a thick layer of MICROGUARD SILVER provides superb insulation. The longer, knee-length cut and internal cold block fleece cuffs contribute to the effectiveness of this “winter heating system”.

  Made from very lightweight, high tearstrength, windproof and very breathable STORMLOCK ACTIVE RIPSTOP DWR A windproof fabric characterised by its high tear resistance and low weight. With a durable water repellent finish. The very dense weave makes it windproof, while reinforcement threads make it tear resistant. The material is also very breathable and water repellent.
  Filled with extremely warm MICROGUARD which is a dual layer artificial fibre fill material made of two components that delivers effective and comfortable insulation at a minimum weight. Originally designed for sleeping bags, we use it in our padded winter clothing for its warmth/ low-weight properties.
  
  The first component is a layer of fine micro fibres to provide optimal insulation at a minimum weight, a soft feel and superb compressibility (MICRO).
  The second component is a stabilising outer layer of thermally bonded mixed fibres to provide a good loft and durability (GUARD). With MICROGUARD SILVER, a thin layer of fleece with bonded SILVER particles warms you up faster and gently retains heat.
  MICROGUARD MAXLOFT is a particularly generous quilted interlining that has a down-like warmth-to-weight ratio and hollow fibres that trap even more warming air.

The hood can be adjusted to give an exact fit, with hook & loop tabs and/or a draw cord system for individual adjustment of the field of vision and volume, and thus follows the natural turning movement of the head.

An integrated peak that stands proud of the hood enhances the weather protection.
