Petzl Myo XP is a very powerful single LED head torch that packs a mighty punch. The single white LED is of the highest quality and has three power modes with the highest setting kicking out 150 lumens with useable light at over 90 metres. If you need close in work then flick up the clever diffuser which somehow manages to bathe you personal space in daylight. All this power comes from 3 AA batteries which sit in a housing at the back of the headband giving the torch a nice balance. If the high powered mode is just not enough then the Petzl Myo XP has a further trick up its sleeve by way of a boost button which overclocks the LED for a noticeable lift in performnace, this can only last for 20 seconds before burning the LED out but don't worry as the clever internal electronics take care of this so you do not have to time it. The Myo XP also comes with a battery monitor which is a very small LED on the headtorch housing that goes red when the batteries are low.
