This stove uses a specially designed pan with a heat exchanger which is highly efficient, the bottom of this pan is concave and mates onto the burner head which is new and unique to MSR as it creates radiant heat not a flame, mich makes it very efficient. the radiant heat exchanger can be mated to the pan very closely making it very efficient and highly wind resistant.
The Reactor also works very well at low temperatures and maintains even pressure even from depleted gas canisters.
