This new boot is the first to be made on the Comfort fit last. This new last offers extra space and volume in the forefoot area namely allowing extra space for the areas at either side of the foot i.e. to help extra wide feet and those with lumps and bumps.
With this new technology and a new last concept Meindl have give people with very sensitive feet the possibility to walk and hike comfortably.
There are many reasons why the feet of today have changed.
The new RFS-System adapts to these changes:
- narrow heel partually stabilise the foot in the heel zone
- the toe area is wider than in a boot made on a standard last
- a new sole has been developed especially for this system; the ergonomic support of the flexion makes walking easier
- The pressure in the front part of the feet can be reduced remarkabley.
NEW for 2008 Rugged mountain hiking boots with classical looks. Brushed leather upper with supple leather inserts. Interior lining in fine leather . The foot rests on an anatomically shaped cork footbed, with foam and fleece lining, plus, shock insert under the heel. Vibram- Shock absorbing midsole, Vibram sole run with a strong profile .
