 Update: 20/05/2017;

Andy, one of the trailblazer outdoors team now owns a pair. He got them for light weight longer distance easy trails and for general dog walking use, (to take the pressure off his mountain boots). Been a person who likes to test kit, pushing it as far as it might go, he has already bagged two Munro, (as well as much dog walking and easy moors trails). He said, “I was surprised how well they coped with the more demanding Scottish rock. I did a couple in Glen Coe, not too technical, but with a bit of light scrambling involved. On the dry rock, the sole had masses of grip. They had more under foot support than I had expected as well as more ankle support. That’s not to say they are a mountain boot. I would not carry an overnight bag, (say 15kg), as I think that would tip the balance. Also, the thinner leather and no rand would reduce their durability compared to the heavier styles. However, for the light mountain user, the person who is more on moors and will seek an easy mountain trail on occasion, they should prove a great boot. I did find the lightness great on the feet and I could move faster with less leg fatigue. I will certainly be putting them in the car for Scotland trips. I had thought of doing this for a camp boot anyway. They are super comfy with their soft and more squashy fit, perfect for tired feet at the end of a long hard trail. But now I would take them with a mind to use them on lighter hill days, when the terrain is expected to be easier, such as you find around Glen Lyon etc. All round a great boot, well designed for the UK hills and very waterproof”.
