Crook knife’s come in many different shapes and sizes and all do a slightly different role. This style is what Andy would call a classic shape and can do most wood carving jobs. This is a left and as Casstrom suggest, it is useful to have both, as they both can have a place in a green woodworkers kit. If you are to buy just one, for spoons and cups etc, we would recommend this shape, and therefore it’s a great choice for left handed people. Well made and finished with a great little leather sheath. For bushcrafters and woodcarvers everywhere.
Spoon knife or hook knife for making spoons, kuksas and bowls from wood in a traditional way. Made in alloyed carbon steel and hardened and tempered to about 60 HRC to keep a good edge.
Alternative for right-handed or left-handed. It is recommended to use the knife with the cutting edge towards oneself.
In some instances you may need to carve the wood in the opposite direction (i.e away from yourself) we would therefore recommend the purchase of both right and left versions.
Comes with a leather sheath that covers the blade.
Handle in Birch.
