Want clean and fresh water whilst walking in the hills and mountains?

The Platypus finally have the answer with the hassle-free Meta Bottlle + Microfilter. This 1 litre water bottle equipped with a wilderness-ready water filter gets its technology from dialysis  machines that use membranes to filter out toxins when a persons kidneys no longer can. So wether you are in the wilderness or travelling in areas with poor tap water the Meta bottle will keep you hydrated.

The built-in microfilter effectively removes 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.9% of protozoa from water, including Giardia, Cryptosporidium, E.Coli, Salmonella and Cholera. Obviously, you need to use as cleaner source as you can with no visible particles in it, most moving streams and rivers will do the trick.

To use your Meta bottle just unscrew the lid, scoop, close the lid and drink. This easy and versatile filter will filter up to 2 litres of water per minute with its fast flow design and thanks to the hard plastic upper and soft squashy lower you get good flow.

When you are done the 2 halves of the bottle can be separated and removing the filter allows you to collapse the bottle to half its size for compact storage and easy packing. Instructions included.

The filter itself takes a little running in and as with all filters the more you use it the better it gets, a slight taste at the beginning is a small price to pay for clean water. The filter is good for 2000 litres of water so will easily last for that round the world trip.
